Roger is an independent Whisky Bottler, Whisky Investor and Bottle Photographer based in The Netherlands

I started in the world of whisky in 1995 as a casual drinker and enthusiast of single malts, trying and appreciating all the nuanced tastes and subtle differences between whiskies and distilleries. In 2019 I started photographing whisky bottles for my instagram account and was positively surprised by the great like-minded people I met from literally all over the world, talking about whisky and just plain having fun.

After a while the idea stuck with me that I would like to setup my own company in the world of whisky, that’s when Roger’s Whisky Company was born in 2020, starting very modest but with big ambitions 😃.

My logo

Coming from a Chinese-Indonesian background (but born and raised in the Netherlands) I thought it would be cool to show that in my logo by taking a dragon as symbol. Whisky is a powerful drink, so the dragon is in that way also very suitable. And if you look closely, you can see something else in my logo: a glencairn glass, the signature glass shape for whisky drinkers.

Drink Responsibly

I think whisky should be enjoyed, but we all know excessive drinking can cause numerous health and social problems. So please respect the age laws for drinking in your country and enjoy these fine drams, taking the time to really appreciate all the complex flavours, rather than binging them. Cheers! - Roger
